Screw-Less Type boards make wire connections quick and easy. Part #: ETB-SLT
Why Use Transition Boards Anyway?
- Transition boards are extremely helpful in taming the "flying lead, rats nest" that are so common on many harness boards. Every testable harness board will have lose wires that need termination back to a tester in order to test the harnesses built on the board. Cirris offers a variety of "transition" boards to help you organize your wires in a orderly and easily maintainable format.
Transition boards are designed to help you quickly and accurately fixture up so your time is spent productively testing harnesses, not "getting ready' to test.
- The variety of transition boards offered are meant to suggest flexibility, not difficulty, in your harness board setup. Select the board that appeals to your application needs or your preferred approach.

Screw Type boards make wire connections more secure.
Part #: ETB-ST
What are my options?
- Cirris offers the (4) four transition board options pictured to the left.
- Screw-Less Boards [Part #: ETB-SLT] do not require any tools to attach wires so they are quick and easy. However, the downside is it is somewhat easy to accidently jerk a wire lose from the board.
- Screw type boards [Part #: ETB-ST] do require a screwdriver to attach each wire thus taking more time to attach each lead. However, the good news is that once the wires are attached it will take an act of congress to pull it out.

Adapter Transition Boards have (15) USB connectors for interfacing special adapters.
Part #: ETB-USB
- Adapter Transition boards [Part #: ETB-USB] are composed of (15) 4 position USB type connectors which provide a quick and easy, connect and disconnect for special connector fixtures designed to work with them. One advantage is the modular design of the adapter cables plugged into the boards. When an interface connector goes bad it takes literally seconds to change out that adapter for a new one. If reliabilty and testing throughput are critical this offers a great value. Another advantage is that these transition boards were originally designed to work with our easy-wire software. The software can identify the location of each unique transiton board on your harness board and assist the setup or test personel by flashing a LED attached to each board when there are problems related to that particular location.

High Voltage Transition Boards offer inexpensive cable changes for low and high voltage testing.
Part #: ETB-HVT
- High Voltage Transition Boards [ Part #: ETB-HVT ] are designed for some very specific applications.
- When your situation requires alternate testing between low voltage continuity testing (as the harness is being built) and then a High Voltage final test, this board can save you time and money.
- When this board is used in conjunction with the cables and connectors show (below left) it is a fairly simple matter to plug one side of the cables to our CR tester for the low voltage continuity portion of the test. When it is time for the high voltage final test you simply swap the interfacing cables to the VME style cables that will plug into this transition board (on one end) and our CH+ high Voltage tester on the other end. All of the complex and time consuming fixturing on the harness board stays put! Only the cables that link this board to the different tester types is changed.

This Low Voltage Cable offers a quick and inexpensive cable interface for low voltage testing.
Low Voltage Cable Option Part #: ACLV-HV
- When the special high voltage transition board is used in conjunction with this cable, (show left) it is a fairly simple matter to plug one side of this cable into our CR tester and the other end of the cable into the HV transition board. When it is time for the high voltage final test you swap out the interfacing cables. Using the VME style cables [below left] that will plug into the HV transition board (on one end) and our CH+ high Voltage tester on the other end.

LV to HV Transition Board Adapter Part #: LVHV-AD
- The Low Voltage to High Voltage Transition Board Adapter is the "converter" between the flat ribbon cable and the VME Style connectors which mate to the new HV Transition board. This type of connector is also the mate to the Cirris High Voltage CH+ or CH2 testers. Using this connector type in conjunction with the High Voltage Transition board allows for easy cable swapping when it comes time to move from LV testing to HV testing.

The AC62-KF High Voltage Cable offers a "quick switch" cable for High voltage testing.
High Voltage Cable Option Part #: AC62-KF
- When it is time for the high voltage final test you simply swap the interfacing cables to the VME style cables
(shown left) that plugs into the high voltage transition board and our CH+ high Voltage tester. These cables are 6'-0" long and have 32 conductors. The wire is teflon coated and each wire is crimped with the pins which are socketed in the connector. There is a strain relief for the bundle of wires inside the hood.
