Pinsight 2020: A Year in Review
In a year when having skilled leaders at the helm was so critical, our clients and partners continued to entrust Pinsight to enable them to make informed, trusted, and unbiased hiring, development, and succession planning decisions. 2020 was a challenging but rewarding team for Pinsight. We added new team members, expanded our product portfolio, and continued our deep commitment to our clients and partners around the globe.
Significant Global Growth
As operations moved online, we supported many organizations around the globe through their business continuity planning and transition. In 2020, Pinsight doubled its number of clients and partners, expanding industry coverage and global representation, working in five new countries, and adding three new languages. To maintain excellent levels of support, our internal team has grown and will continue to grow as we increase our levels of technology and IT support in 2021.
Increased Client Satisfaction
Customers continue to indicate very high satisfaction with Pinsight’s services, support, and analytics. Despite COVID-19 and all it entailed, we are proud to share that both our client satisfaction and net promoter scores (NPS) have increased from 2019.
Our 2020 NPS of 72 is well above HR industry (15) and B2B Software (39) averages, and higher than our own 2019 NPS (66) too. This improvement reflects our team’s commitment to providing an easy, effective, and excellent experience and ensuring customers trust Pinsight to provide the insight and support they need.
Continued Research and Validation
Pinsight released results from a large study investigating the phenomena of the “broken rung”, representing the initial step into leadership roles that begins one’s ascent up the corporate ladder. Research shows this first rung is broken for women and racial minorities as they do not have the same support others receive to prepare for leadership roles. See Pinsight’s full report to understand how decisions upstream from the point of promotion impact how these individuals are groomed for leadership and succession.
Given one of Pinsight’s core values is scientific evidence, we are committed to conducting ongoing research quantifying the relationship between Pinsight scores and leadership outcomes. Internal research shows Pinsight scores are key indicators of both career velocity and leaders’ longevity in their roles. This important, ongoing research ensures Pinsight results are significantly related to leader outcomes and scores can be confidently leveraged to make critical decisions.
Product Improvements
Pinsight’s newly released SimManager platform allows partners to transform in-person assessment centers into a virtual experience (or design role-specific simulations) and host their content in our platform to benefit from the administration efficiency and scalability of a virtual solution.
Other notable additions include our newly released knowledge base, providing just-in-time answers to common questions, as well as the availability of The Pinsight App as a native application on both iOS and Android mobile devices. Mobile access to the app allows provides flexible leadership development to users, enabling them to engage in brief daily exercises to build consistency into their development practice.
A Look Ahead
2020 was eventful for Pinsight and we expect that momentum to continue into the year ahead. We are committed to ensuring decision-makers have the data they need to make critical talent decisions, so this year you can expect a continued focus on talent analytics, user experience, and customer enablement. Specifically, look out for:
- New ways of viewing and comparing talent within the platform
- Platform updates to maintain Pinsight’s modern look and feel for all users
- A Pinsight Practitioner Webinar Series to further customer education and provide opportunities for community engagement
