Simulation Participants

Complete these five steps BEFORE your simulation experience.

1. Ensure you have the necessary set-up.

You will need: desktop or laptop with hard-wired internet connection (disable wireless access), webcam, microphone, speakers, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. 

Pinsight® will automatically conduct an IT compliance check on your computer before scheduling your simulation. This will ensure your system is properly set up. Please note, this check will appear again each time you access Pinsight® from a different computer. 

2. Watch the "How to Do Well in the Simulation" video.

3. Prepare and practice. 

After you are scheduled, please be sure to fully prepare. Study background documents about the fictitious company and practice using the Pinsight simulation platform. Contact us immediately if you run into any issues.

4. Know the 3 Quick Tech Fixes.

You can fix 99% of technical issues by:

  • Refreshing your internet browser (hit Ctrl + F5)
  • Switching your internet browser to incognito mode
  • Rebooting your computer

Complete these five steps BEFORE inviting participants.

1. Get sign-off on IT Requirements.

Please coordinate with the client's IT department to ensure compliance with Pinsight's IT Requirements. Download the IT Requirements document and have the IT department sign off on it.

2. Ensure participants have the necessary equipment.

Participants will need: desktop or laptop with hard-wired Internet connection (disabled wireless access), webcam, microphone, speakers, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Pinsight® will automatically conduct an IT compliance check on each computer before participants are able to schedule their simulation.

3. Run the Pinsight Doctor.

Test system set up on a typical participant computer by running the Pinsight Doctor.

4. Test demo simulation.

Run a demo simulation on a typical participant computer. Ensure that the basic functionality (accessing my files, sending emails, leaving voicemail messages) is working.
